The Spain Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) provides eligible non-EU remote professionals with the opportunity to live in Spain while continuing their international careers. Designed for remote employees, freelancers, and digital professionals, this visa allows applicants to work remotely for companies or clients outside Spain while enjoying the benefits of living in a European country.
Nationals of non-UE countries who whish to settle in Spain and work remotely for companies located abroad through the exclusive use of computer and telecommunication media and systems. There are two different options:
Remote job: the employee must work for a company located outside the national territory.
Professional activity: the worker is allowed to work for a company located in Spain as long as this activity does not exceed 20% of his total professional activity.
Completed and signed visa application form.
Passport valid for the required period with sufficient blank pages.
Employment contract showing you work remotely for a company outside Spain.
For self-employed applicants:
Evidence of relevant qualifications or professional work experience.
Private health insurance valid in Spain or other accepted healthcare coverage.
Police Clearance Certificate from your country of residence.
Evidence of accommodation in Spain
Recent passport-size photographs meeting Spanish visa specifications.
Additional documents may be requested depending on your employment type and personal circumstances.
No, there is no age limit. Individuals of all ages can apply for the Portugal D2 program.
